An Encounter With a Gnostic Jinn In Egypt

In Arabic, male Jinn are called ‘jinni’ and females ‘jinniya.’ They are earthbound spirits who may fall into the same category as the faeries of European lore as they live in this world (right here) as opposed to the transpersonal forces that reside in the spirit world (over there.)

In the Holy Ku’ran (Koran), the great prophet Mohammed himself reveals that the Jinn are real, that they are formed of holy fire (energy) and that they are normally invisible, but capable of becoming visible at their pleasure. He proclaims that they are moral, but that they can also be mischievous, even troublesome, to those who cannot control them.

This Jinn was encountered in a shrine at the great mortuary temple of Medinat Habu near the Valley of the Kings. After my initial encounter in the temple on Dec. 7, 2009, I returned to the shrine through my shamanic journeywork on Dec. 8 where the Jinn and I then had a most unusual conversation.

Let me say in advance that this dialogue did not occur in English nor in Arabic but rather in the non-verbal communication modality that I conceive of as ‘think-feeling.’ My job, as always, is to translate and reconstruct the entirety of the contact after the fact from blocks of information that I can recall and transcribe into written notes.

As a prelude, allow me to offer that during the second encounter, the jinni manifested itself first as two disembodied eyeballs… and since this didn’t deter me, it then carefully chose to reveal itself as a smoky humanoid form that flickered at the edges, shifting back and forth from one vague shape to another in pastel hues of orange, yellows and greens, with deeper core areas of more brilliant light as its mood shifted in response to our dialogue.

But if its etheric form was somewhat diffuse, its voice was quite distinct, allowing me to share what follows with confidence.

After identifying myself and what my intentions were for being there (in my journeywork), I revealed that I had been there the day before (and the Jinn remembered this,) that I had been in contact with Jinn before in Ethiopia in 1995 and 1996, and in Egypt in 2003.

I mention this because upon learning that I had had contact with the Jinn before, the jinni became most respectful, even helpful.

Knowing that the Jinn can be mischievous, I tricked it into telling me its name, and after that I was the one in control and the Jinn could not lie to me. I say this for those of you among my readers who know the Jinn and how tricky dealing with them can be

Initially the Jinn revealed that it had originally come from a place in the western desert (the name of this place meant nothing to me, nor could I later find it on a map,) and that it had attached itself to an early traveler through that region who had eventually come to Egypt. When I asked ‘when?’ the jinni didn’t seem to understand the question.

When its human ‘host’ had died, the jinni had decided to remain near the river Nile and had taken up residence in different places, most recently in this shrine once the temple had been released from the grip of the desert sands that had covered most of it in the interim. When I asked how long it had been there, once again it didn’t seem to understand the question.

(My note: The Jinn’s confusion about time is in alignment with my understanding that it is only when we are embodied in physical form that we are subject to and immersed within ‘Time.’ When we are in spirit between lives, we are then in the ‘timeless.’ And since Jinn are without physical form, they are in fact in the realm of timeless in which all time is ‘now.’)

Has the conversation that follows been influenced by my own current interests and interpretations? Undoubtably, as I am a scholar and I do a lot of reading, yet the interwoven information that follows is compelling to say the least, even heretical at times. So here it is for your consideration, recorded shortly after it occurred…

THE CONVERSATION (taken from my written notes)

I began by asking the jinni if there was anything it wanted… a good beginning.

In the pregnant silence that followed my question, an image of the carved granite altar in front of the shrine came up in my mind. In response, the Jinn’s field brightened considerably as though a pulse of energy surged through its light… and hesitantly, almost shyly, an answer came…

‘Honey!’

As I digested this request, my impressions of the Jinn that was before me were somewhat like being observed by a cat waiting to be fed. There was that same unwavering, expectant intensity. In response, I used my creative imagination, a function of my egoic mental soul, to create a small bowl of honey as a thoughtform. I held it is my hands for long moments (in the hands of my dream-body, of course, for I was ‘there’ in my shamanic visioning.)

I had the Jinn’s complete attention.

As I slowly extended my dream arms to place the dream bowl of honey on the altar, I said: ‘I will give you this honey if you will tell me your name.’

Any resistance in the Jinn was gone. As it took the honey and drank it gratefully, the jinni’s name appeared in my mind. Then… satisfied, the jinni turned its attention fully toward me. Was there an energetic smile? Perhaps…

J(inn): You humans are creators. We, the Jinn, cannot create but we can mimic… we can imitate… and we can affect potential outcomes, but we cannot create.

(There was a long thoughtful pause and then:)

J: Few can perceive us anymore and fewer still can bind us to their will. Now that I have told you my name great one (offered respect to me,) you can ask me to serve you, and I will.

HW: I have been called by other Jinn ‘El Kobbet’—the binder… And what qualities and abilities do you possess that might be of service to me?

(The Jinn flickered thoughtfully, then answered.)

J: I can protect you from enemies and I can inflict curses and misfortune on those who oppose you.

HW: I am constrained in my practice from inflicting harm on anyone for any reason…

(Still, I thought, this genie might come in handy if a real bad guy came along or someone threatened me of my family with harm.)

J: …Or with ill will…

(I had momentarily forgotten that the mental channel was an open one.)

HW: How about healing work?

(The Jinn’s field dimmed in intensity. His answer was startling.)

J: Who can say what is written on another person’s soul? We cannot purposefully influence their destiny without tampering with their agreement.

HW: Agreement with who…?

J: With the higher organizing intelligences...

HW: Are the Jinn below them in the spiritual hierarchy?

J: Oh yes. Some of the younger Jinn occasionally misbehave. The watchers approach them then and encourage them in more appropriate forms of expression.

HW: Who are the watchers?

J: The ones among the higher intelligences responsible for this world. We are not allowed to interfere with humans on their path although there are some who do, as well as those who function as adversaries.

(I thought about some of my recent reading and asked:

HW: Are those the ones that the Gnostikoi called the archons?

(I used the Greek term for the Gnostics.)

J: Oh… so you know about them… (The Jinn’s field brightened reflecting excitement.) The archons are not true spirits. They are mind beings, mental entities many of who were created by humans as thought-forms. Many of these function as attachments… as mental parasites.

HW: How do they do that?

J: They feed on the energy… on the attention paid to them by humans. This includes the energy generated by human belief systems. But they are not true spirits and they will cease to exist if nobody pays attention to them any more. The ones you call ‘the archons’ are those that we call ‘the deceivers,’ and like us they are not creative. But they can mimic and they can take on forms in response to human belief systems.

(I thought about this at some length, then asked.)

HW: Are they the ones we call the aliens or extraterrestrials?

(The Jinn didn’t appear to understand the question so I explained. Its response was more than interesting.)

J: The deceivers can take on many forms, drawing from the belief systems of humans… and… there are also visitors who come here from other places.

HW: From other worlds?

J: Yes.

HW: Who are they and why do they come here?

J: They are ‘others’ and they come here as visitors.

HW: Why do they abduct humans and perform experiments on them?

J: They don’t. That is the deceivers who do that.

HW: The deceivers? Why do they do that?

J: Humans are greater than the deceivers. The deceivers that you have called the archons wish to become more like humans. They cannot create. They can only imitate and the only power that they have is derived from humans. Humans have power… and the deceivers want that power.

HW: Why don’t the watchers, as you call them, inhibit the archons, the deceivers, from interfering with humans?

J: The deceivers are not spirits. They live in the human mind, so the watchers cannot affect them.

(I considered this at some length, then asked some more questions.)

HW: How long will you remain in this shrine?

(Again, the Jinn didn’t appear to understand the question, so I rephrased it.)

J: This is my place.

HW: If I travel in my spirit form, in my dream-body to this place, will I find you here?

J: Yes.

HW: Why do you remain here instead of going someplace else?

J: This is my place.

HW: Some years ago I met a jinniya in the desert to the south of this place. She was of service to me in an interesting way. Do you know her?

J: Yes. All the Jinn know each other.

HW: Can you tell me her name?

J: No.

HW: Can you convey my greetings to her as well as my respect?

J: Yes… but you can do that yourself if you have connection with her.

HW: I have not felt the connection for many years…

J: Time is ‘not’ in the world of spirit. All time is now.

HW: Do the Jinn exist elsewhere in the world, beyond the deserts of Egypt and the Middle east?

J: Yes.

HW: What are they called.

J: I do not know. We are the Jinn… earthbound spirits. We live where we wish.

HW: Where did the Jinn come from?

J: The Jinn are manifestations of great spiritual force that the Gnostikoi called the Sophia. Everything that exists on this world exists as manifestations of the Sophia.

HW: Who or what is the Sophia?

J: She is the soul of this world.

HW: Does she have a physical aspect?

J: Yes. This world is her physical aspect.

HW: Where did Sophia come from?

J: She came from the center of…

(The Jinn used a strange term to me. In asking for clarification, I was given to understand that the Sophia came from the core of our galaxy.)

HW: Is the Sophia a goddess?

J: I don’t know. She emerged from the (strange term) as a river of conscious light. She dreams and all that she dreams comes into manifestation. That means that she is an (unrecognizable term).

(I changed tactics.)

HW: Do the Jinn have souls?

J: Yes. Everything that exists has a soul.

HW: Are there greater Jinn and lesser Jinn?

J: Yes.

HW: Are you a greater Jinn?

J: No.

HW: Are you a lesser Jinn?

J: No.

(I didn’t know if the jinni was simply being modest or whether it didn’t understand the question, so I asked this: ‘Who are the lesser Jinn?’)

J: They are units of ensouled energy that are growing in their awareness.

HW: Where do they originate?

J: From the Sophia. She emanates and they are products of her dreaming.

HW: Are they orbs?

(The Jinn didn’t understand ‘orbs’ so I elaborated about those spheres of light picked up by the flash of digital cameras. I also disclosed how our photographs taken in the great Egyptian temples at night often revealed masses of orbs while photos taken away from the sites revealed few or none. This was the Jinn’s response.)

J: These ‘orbs’ are units of ensouled light in the process of growing and becoming more. They approach you because they are curious about you… they are drawn toward human thoughts and emotions.

HW: Are they Jinn?

J: They are Jinn in becoming.

HW: Are the Jinn responsible for the crop circles?

(Again, it didn’t understand the question. When I explained, it still didn’t know… but it did offer and opinion.)

J: Perhaps these signs are created by the higher organizing intelligences.

HW: Why would they do that?

J: To get your attention.

HW: Why would they want to do that?

J: I do not know. Maybe to reveal their presence and their awareness of you and your deeds… or misdeeds.

(We seemed to be coming to the end of our conversation, so I asked a few more questions.)

HW: Were humans created by God?

J: No. Humans are manifestations of the Sophia.

HW: Creations of the Sophia?

J: No. The Sophia does not create. She emanates and she does so through her dreaming. Humans create.

HW: So are human souls emanations of Sophia’s dreaming?

J: No. Your souls are sourced by the Originator. It is your body that is human with its raw powerful emotions. Your soul is simply a soul. It is spirit in nature and it is not human.

HW: Is the Judeo-Christian-Islamic father god (Yahweh-Jehovah-Allah) the Originator?

J: No.

HW: Is it the creator?

J: No.

HW: Who or what is Yahweh-Jehovah-Allah?

J: He is the arch deceiver. You might call him the lord archon after the terminology of the Gnostikoi.

(I thought about this for several moments, then…)

HW: Who and what is the lord archon?

J: He is the arch mind parasite who has been serving as humanity’s adversary and who has been operating against humans from his beginnings.

(I digested this for more long moments. From my readings I would learn that this insight is in alignment with information recorded by the Gnostics in the Nag Hammadi Library found in the desert near Dendara in Egypt—scrolls that date from the 4th Century.)

HW: You mean that he is not the creator as so many humans believe and claim?

J: Yes. The arch deceiver cannot create anything although he claims that he can. He is an archon. He can only mimic.

HW: Why is he so powerful and why have all three of the Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) revered him?

J: They were all of them deceived by the lord archon. He is the arch deceiver and he derives his power from those he has deceived—from those who believe that he is the creator… that he is the Originator. But he is not.

HW: So he is not the Originator?

J: That is correct. He is the lord archon.

HW: Are the archons—the deceivers—evil?

J: No.

HW: Do they operate in the negative polarity? (This took some explaining.)

J: Yes. They encourage humans to go wrong in their behavior.

HW: Why do they do this?

J: That is their nature. They are deceivers.

HW: And what then is the source of evil?

J: Humans. The archons influence humans to err in their behavior until they reach that point where they can no longer self correct. At that point, humans create evil because that is their nature. They are creators and they have been influenced by the deceivers. They are still being influenced by the deceivers.

HW: So evil did not exist until humans created it?

J: That is correct.

HW: And is the Lord Archon is evil?

J: No. He is the arch deceiver who has operated against humanity as the adversary since his beginning.

HW: Is this why so many religious wars have been fought in the name of religion? Is this why millions of women were killed by the Church in the Middle Ages during the Great Witch Hunts?

J: Yes. The Judeo-Christian-Islamic god is the lord archon. It was his influence that manifested itself in humans with twisted minds to manifest great acts of evil. He is still doing that.

HW: You mean that he still has the power to do that again?

J: The Lord archon has no power of his own. He is not a creator. He is an archon. Humans are creators and what they create is up to them. He influences them to go into what you call the negative polarity because that is his nature.

HW: So the choice is ultimately ours?

J: That is correct. Humans can create evil or they can create its opposite.

HW: Is that how we deal with the problem of evil?

J: I do not know. That is your responsibility as humans. In my opinion, humans created evil now they must un-create it.

HW: How do we do that?

J: By creating evil’s opposite. And by changing your thoughts. The archons live in your thoughts. They are what you would call psychic vampires who feed on the energy of your thoughts and emotions. Yet humans will always have the power that comes with choice for humans are creators, but if humans allow the archons to influence them in your thinking, you humans will choose wrongly. The deceivers take delight in violence and warfare, greed and deception, competition and denial, corruption and mendacity. They encourage humans to take refuge in what you have called the negative polarity. I like this term.

HW: Did we create the gods?

J: That is correct.

HW: Who or what is the Originator?

J: No one knows. That is the Great Mystery.

HW: Where is the Originator?

J: Everywhere.

HW: So it is the creator?

J: No. The Originator emanates. It does not purposefully create. Humans do that.

HW: Can we interact with the Originator? Does it listen to our prayers?

J: No. It simply exists. It emanates for that is its nature.

HW: So the Originator is not a God?

J: No. It is the Originator.

(I asked a few last questions.)

HW: Is there a personal god who listens to our prayers, works in mysterious ways, and so forth and so on…?

J: Yes. That personal god is your own soul… the immortal part of your self who does not die. You humans have created it on your long journey across eternity. Unlike the archons, your individual soul aspect is a true spirit and resides always in the spirit world. It is part of the dreaming and as such, it dreams… always.

HW: And whose dream does it dream?

J: Its own.

HW: So when we pray to god almighty, we are actually praying to ourself?

J: That is correct. You are praying to your soul-self, your higher self, your god self. This is how the real gods come into being… You ensouled humans are all in the process of becoming god-selves. And when you dream, this experience is actually your higher-soul’s dream.

HW: Do the Jinn have god-selves?

J: We are god-selves. We are spirits. And we have free will.

It was at this point that this extraordinary conversation came to a close.

Arabic magic: The conjuration of Jinn's Queen

Arabic magic: The conjuration of Jinn's Queen:

Write the following on the palm of your right hand using a mixture of musk and saffron: „By Alshaqash Da'ooj“. Place your palm over the incense. Turn your face towards the east and recite the following incantation until your hand turns over and closes by itself: „Ba'alshatal (x2), Batad (x2), Bakahooshal (x2), Bata'a'amash (x2), Bataqhrayoosh (x2), Basabtaqoosh (x2), Baykashalish (x2), Hashool (x2), Heshool (x2). I conjure you, O Queen Aynah, by the right of the name that, having descended upon the solid stone, caused it to crumble: upon the earth, leveled it; upon the mountain, caused it to be imbedded; upon the night, darkened it; and upon the day, made it grow bright; and by Alshaqash (x2), Allah's verses, Akhfakh (x2), Haqhalash (x2), Allah's verses, Da'ooj (x2). Answer me, O Queen Aynah, make haste, hear my conjuration, hurry, smell my incense, and appear to me. Bless you“.

For incense, you take six dirhams of liquid storax, six dirhams of sandarac, and six dirhams of frankincense, mix them together until a paste is formed, fashion pellets out of this paste, and then loss them into the fire, one after the other.

After she replies, and you copulate with her, send her away by reciting the following Dismissal seven times: „Destroying everything by the command of its Lord, so they became such that naught could be seen except their dwellings“.

Arabic magic: Qarin - astral copy

Arabic magic: Qarin - astral copy:

Hamzad or Qarin: Jinn that is born alongside a human and who is his astral copy. He is the spirit that reveals the secrets to the magi about the person. That power is utilized by the magi after he has gained control over his own Qarin who will then communicate with the other Qarin and transfer information to the magi. To free himself from his Qarin a person must continually study the Quran, especially the verse al-Kursi, and the last two verses of surat Bekara.

BISMILLAH IRAHMAN IRAHEEM
YA KHUDA MO HARFIL BA'HE HAZAR SHOO BA HAQ E BA

Arabic magic: Marid and Ifreet

Arabic magic: Marid and Ifreet:

Tales of their role in the history of Iran, Iraq and the neighboring countries are so pervasive, one simply can't dismiss the possibility of their existence. Genies are divided into five types: Marid, Afreet, Sheitan, Ghilan and Jann. The Marid are the strongest, while the Afreet possess vast intelligence. The Sheitan are the ugliest and Ghilan are shape-shifting flesh- eaters.
Jann are mostly known for their habit of stealing cows. A free jinni – one not under the control of a human master – is said to be one of the most dangerous forces in nature.

Followers of the Prophet exercise a strong belief in jinn. Such spirit beings can be benign or frighteningly evil. In many instances, jinn are presented as instruments of temptation. There is a well-known jinn in Morocco who goes by the name Aisha Qandisha. She seeks to seduce men. If a man capitulates to her charms, then he forever becomes her slave. The way to resist such a tragic consequence is to plunge a steel knife into the ground, and break her spell over him.
In Algeria, a similar jinn-spirit is known as Betjallal. The name in Arabic means “lady of splendor.” More than a few Algerian men believe they are married to this jinn and experiance sexual intercourse with her.

Arabic magic: Contact between Humans and Jinn

Arabic magic: Contact between Humans and Jinn:

Communication between humans and Jinn's is possible and we can find examples in both religious and occult books. One of the great Arabian spiritualists Ibn el-Hadj el-Temesani el-Magrebi left very impressive and succinct descriptions of his contacts with the Jinn world in the book "Light of the sun and the treasury of great secrets" from whom he took his knowledge about the occult - "Know, Ye who wishes to know something about it, when Allah lifted the veil between me and the Jinn, I asked spiritual and loyal Jinn, and even the seven blessed and God fearing angels, who came into contact with the Quran over Muhammad (peace be upon him), about everything that is going on in the world. They informed me about it with real facts, without unnecessary prevarication, without any embellishments or impairment."

Jinn didn't communicate willingly, they were bound by the magical oaths and rituals and they had to answer truthfully to all questions that he posed about the world of gajba and its rules: "One day I met seven Jinn in a cave and asked them "What happens to men and women who are under the influence of the Jinn, is it epilepsy, stroke, madness and other illnesses? They all responded. If it wasn't you we would never speak, but there is some bond between us which bounds us, some big names by which you compelled us to acquaint you with the Jinn tribes and their powers (spells)."

Arabic magic: Jinn and magic

Arabic magic: Jinn and magic:

Every spell works only with the help of spiritual beings and according to that every magi strives to make contact and cooperation with one of them. In Arabian magic, the largest grasp a magi can have, is if he manages to capture one of the servants of magic known as Hudam or Khodam, with his magical rituals. Those magi who are more skilled and who are braver try to set up a contract with

one of the Jinn rulers, by which a large gate to a Jinn army will be opened, to the magi, who will be at his service at any time. Namely, according to some data, every Jinn ruler has an army of 800-120 billion under his rule, according to this information it is easy to understand what such a contract would mean to a magi. Of course such a possibility is not free and has its price.

Based on such a Jinn contract the magi has to gratify the rulers sexual appetite by offering him his mother, sister or wife with whom he will have sex while they are asleep. When the Jinn champion gratifies his sexual urges he then bestows the magi with some supernatural powers so that he can perform any magic that he wishes and they include telepathy, travel around the globe in one second, invisibility, detection of hidden treasures, etc.

For the magi to communicate with the Jinn there is no need for a contract or prostitution, it is enough to follow the guidelines of the ancient ceremonies. In the rituals of Daire (exorcism) two Jinn names are commonly mentioned, Tarsh and Tariush, which can be seen in the summoning or Azimet: "Tarsh! Tariush! Descend! Answer! Where did the sultan go with his army? Where is al-Ahmar, the sultan and his army? Answer; you servants of these names!" In this spiritualistic ritual where a child is used as a mediator, the magi can contact the Jinn through the child and ask questions.

The list of Jinn names from various groups and tribes is very long and it is practically impossible to up-date it in a single unit, but following the descriptions and guidelines of various Arabian rituals it is possible to determine the nature of most of the Jinn. Tashyush, Latyush, Dalayush, Tvakapush, Arkapush are examples of good Jinn as opposed to Raahush, Vahyush, Ghayush, Ghafush and others. There are also Jinn that have a varying nature, therefore their behavior depends from their current mood and the purpose of their summoning, like the Jinn Shamyush.

Since the Jinn are connected to magic each one of them has their own function and they are called upon in certain rituals. A Jinn child by the name Zaazui is used in powerful love spells that cause longing and sensuality. When a magi wants to receive a person, he then takes a white brick, puts it in a box and closes it. Then he pronounces magical words (azimet) and opens the box. Inside it he will see a soppy baby. The magi then asks the baby to bring him the person that he asks for and he will return him to his Jinn mother.

Arabic magic: Seven jinn kings

Arabic magic: Seven jinn kings:

Each of these jinn kings also has multiple aides or assistants from
their tribes and many other offspring. As a matter of general principle, the kings should always be called under the auspices of angels. At no point should you call them forth to run any kind of errands. If you need their aid for something, always ask them to send someone to you from their tribe to assist you.
This point of not asking the Kings directly has been emphasized repeatedly by many of masters in our tradition. While we are not going to reveal any techniques for summoning these jinn, you may choose to do so anyway. If so, keep in mind the following points:
a) when the kings arrive, you must ask them to enter into a pact of service to you;
b) if you think you have managed to constrain them into a triangle of the art, then it isn’t the kings that are present;
c) if there are no physical signs of manifestations that can’t
be explained by your being in a trance, then your work isn’t finished;
d) don’t be distracted by initial signs of physical manifestation into
thinking your work is finished,
e) if you see physical manifestation of Jinn, be careful lest this be a distraction by their aides;
f) don’t summon them to prove their existence to yourself;
g) don’t go into this thinking to rely on traditional generic banishing methods, as their magic is superior to anything we possess, so only by the grace of the Goddess and Her angels will you be protected;
h) don’t ask them to do something against their nature, such as asking Meymoon to aid you in a love spell, for they will do it and then punish you.

Al-Mazhab (The Golden One)- Sunday - Sun or Shamsh
Al-Abyad (The White One)- Monday - Moon or Kamer
Al-Ahmar (The Red One)- Tuesday - Mars or al-Marih
Barkan (Two Thunders)- Wednesday - Mercur or Utarid
Šamhureš or Shamhuresh (N/A)- Thursday - Jupiter or al-Mushtari
Zawba'a (Cyclone)- Friday - Venus or al-Zahra
Meymoon (Prosperous) - Saturday - Saturn or Zuhal

Each of these is said to have many children and is called after the
most prominent child. This is a common Arabic practice. If the eldest
son of John is Tob, then they would call you John, Father of Tob. The
word for father in Arabic is Abba and the name for son is
ibn. Meymoon is known as Meymoon Abba Nuch, which means that his
son is Nuch ibn Maymon. This is important to know since there are
many jinn with the name Meymoon. So, when calling the jinn king of
Saturn, we have to identify him specifi cally with his full title Maymon
Abba Nuch.

Arabic magic: Summoning terrestrial jinn

Arabic magic: Summoning terrestrial jinn:

Recite it in the bathroom one thousand and two times for three nights. The incense any scent. This is what you say: „Shor Sor answer o Jin“. The sign of response is that you hear deep breathing from within the walls after which the intent will come to pass.

Arabic magic: Evoking a Jinn Servant

Arabic magic: Evoking a Jinn Servant:

There are jinns who are servants by profession. They serve the higher class jinns – and also human adepts! This simply rite below evokes a jinn to your presence that will help to fulfill your needs – even serving you food and drinks on a platter!
Method:
The same preparations apply as for the previous ritual for evoking a jinn king: This ritual should be done at night in a quiet secluded place

in the woods or forest 'neath nature's canopy with no one around. If you fail to find an appropriate place you may use your room but make sure that you are not disturbed in any way. There should not be irritating anywhere in the vicinity. The room should be in complete darkness. Do not allow any light to penetrate the room. Jinns as a rule, dislike bright places.
The evoction ceremony should be preceded by a cleansing, a holy wash, or preferably a ritual shower. Wear clean clothings for the magickal ritual – wear a robe or a protective west if you have one.
This ritual should be proceded ba 3 days of fasting from dawn to dusk. No meat or animal products are to be consumed during the 3-day fasting period.
During the fast, after every 5 of the obligatory prayers recite the following for 1500x: „Hailuusyin“.
Benzoin incense from the East should be burned during these recitations. On the third and last day, an attractive jinn familiar spirit would appear. He or she would declare their readiness to serve your needs.

Seeking Refuge FROM the Evil Jinn

Say " 'audhu billah" (I seek refuge in Allah) and other dhikr (remembrance of Allah, swt) when the evil whisper of Shaitaan comes upon you, such as
  • when becoming angry,
  • having confusing or disobedient thoughts,
  • when approached by arrogants who dispute the Truth of the ayats of Allah, swt,
  • when about to recite Qur'an,
  • or when in any situation that Quran and Sunnah teaches you is a result of the shaitaan.
The Noble Qur'an - Fussilat 41:36
And if an evil whisper from Shaitân (Satan) tries to turn you away (O Muhammad SAW) (from doing good, etc.), then seek refuge in Allâh. Verily, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.

The Noble Qur'an - Al-A'raaf 7:200, 201
And if an evil whisper comes to you from Shaitân (Satan) then seek refuge with Allâh. Verily, He is All-Hearer, All-Knower.
Verily, those who are Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - see V.2:2), when an evil thought comes to them from Shaitân (Satan), they remember (Allâh), and (indeed) they then see (aright).
The Noble Qur'an - Ghaafir 40:56
Verily, those who dispute about the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh, without any authority having come to them, there is nothing else in their breasts except pride [to accept you (Muhammad SAW) as a Messenger of Allâh and to obey you]. They will never have it (i.e. Prophethood which Allâh has bestowed upon you). So seek refuge in Allâh (O Muhammad SAW from the arrogants). Verily, it is He Who is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer.
The Noble Qur'an - An-Nahl 16:98
So when you want to recite the Qur'ân, seek refuge with Allâh from Shaitân (Satan), the outcast (the cursed one).
Hadith - Al-Muwatta 51.10
Yahya related to me from Malik that Yahya ibn Said said, "When the Messenger of Allah May Allah's peace and blessings be on him was taken on the Night Journey, he saw an evil jinn seeking him with a torch of fire. Whenever the Messenger of Allah May Allah's peace and blessings be on him turned, he saw him. Jibril said to him, 'Shall I teach you some words to say? When you say them, his torch will be put out and will fall from him.' The Messenger of Allah May Allah's peace and blessings be on himsaid, 'Yes, indeed.' Jibril said, 'Say, 'I seek refuge with the Noble Face of Allah and with the complete words of Allah which neither the good person nor the corrupt can exceed, from the evil of what descends from the sky and the evil of what ascends in it, and from the evil of what is created in the earth and the evil of what comes out of it, and from the trials of the night and day, and from the visitations of the night and day, except for one that knocks with good, O Merciful!" "'

Say Bismillah and then the du'a below before entering the toilet area...
Hadith - Al-Tirmidhi 358, Narrated Ali ibn Abu Talib
Allah's Messenger May Allah's peace and blessings be on him said: The screen between the eyes of Jinn and the private parts of the sons of Adam as one of them enters the privy is that he should say: In the name of Allah. [This hadith has been transmitted by Tirmidhi and he said: It is a gharib hadith and its isnad is not sound.]
[Bismillahi] Allahumma inna 'audhu bika minal khubthi wal khabaa'ith.
[By the Name of Allah]. Oh Allah, I seek protection in You from unclean spirits, male and female.  [Abu Dawud 4/264, Ahmad 2/389]

The ayat "Al-Kursi" (2:255) is well-known as a means for repelling mischievious jinn...

The Noble Qur'an - Al-Baqara 2:255
Allah! La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Ever, Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists.  neither slumber, nor sleep overtake Him.  To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on earth.  Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His Permission?  He knows what happens to them (His creatures) in this world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter.  And they will never compass anything of His Knowledge except that which He wills.  His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them.  And He is the Most High, the Most Great (Ayat-ul-Kursi).
Hadith - Tirmidhi #2173, Narrated Jubayr ibn Nufayr  [Darimi transmitted it in mursal form].
Allah's Messenger May Allah's peace and blessings be on him said, "Allah finished Surat al-Baqarah with two verses which I have been given from His treasure which is under the Throne; so learn them and teach them to your womenfolk, for they are a blessing, a means of a approach (to Allah) and a supplication."
Ibn Taimiya, Majmu, vol. 19, p. 55
"The numerous people who have experienced these events all confirm the amazing effectiveness of this verse in warding off jinn and breaking their spells.  It [editor's note: ayat al-Kursi] has a great effect in repelling devils from humans, from the possessed and from those picked out by jinn, such as wrongdoers, people with bad tempers, those who follow their desires and lusts, musicians and those who become ecstatic through whistling and clapping.  If these verses are read over them with sincerity to Allah, the jinn will leave.  It will put an end to the mirages created by the jinn.  It will also disclose the falseness of those, the brothers of the jinn, who perform miraculous acts.  The jinn inspire their devotees with some knowledge that the ignorant think are miracles that Allah grants His pious servants.  In fact, they are simply Shaytaan's acts of deception over his devotees, of those whom have earned Allah's wrath and those who have gone astray."
Hadith - Tirmidhi #2145, Narrated An-Nu'man ibn Bashir
Allah's Messenger May Allah's peace and blessings be on him said, "Two thousand years before creating the heavens and the Earth, Allah inscribed a book of which He sent down two verses with which He concluded surat al-Baqarah. The Devil will not come near a house in which they are recited three nights." [Tirmidhi and Darimi transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a gharib tradition.]

Make du'a (supplication) such as the following:
The Noble Qur'an - Al-Baqarah 2:286
Allâh burdens not a person beyond his scope. He gets reward for that (good) which he has earned, and he is punished for that (evil) which he has earned. "Our Lord! Punish us not if we forget or fall into error, our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which You did lay on those before us (Jews and Christians); our Lord! Put not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Pardon us and grant us Forgiveness. Have mercy on us. You are our Maulâ (Patron, Supporter and Protector, etc.) and give us victory over the disbelieving people."

Recite Surahs Al-Falaq (Chapter 113) and An-Nas (Chapter 114)..
Hadith - Al-Tirmidhi 1019, Narrated Abu Sa'id al-Khudri
The Prophet May Allah's peace and blessings be on him used to seek protection against the Jinn and the evil eye till surahs al-Falaq and an-Nas were revealed. After they were revealed he stuck to them and discarded everything beside them. [Transmitted by Tirmidhi]
Hadith - Al-Tirmidhi 4563, Narrated Abu Sa'id al-Khudri
Allah's Messenger May Allah's peace and blessings be on him used to seek refuge in Allah from jinn and the evil eye in men till the Mu'awwidhatan came down, after which he made use of them and abandoned everything else. [Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a hasan gharib tradition]

Seeking refuge IN the Jinn

The Noble Qur'an - Al-Jinn 72: 6-7
6. 'And verily, there were men among mankind who took shelter with the masculine among the jinns, but they (jinns) increased them (mankind) in sin and disbelief.
7. 'And they thought as you thought, that Allâh will not send any Messenger (to mankind or jinns).

The Noble Qur'an - Ibrahiim 14:22
And Shaitân (Satan) will say when the matter has been decided: "Verily, Allâh promised you a promise of truth. And I too promised you, but I betrayed you. I had no authority over you except that I called you, so you responded to me. So blame me not, but blame yourselves. I cannot help you, nor can you help me. I deny your former act in associating me (Satan) as a partner with Allâh (by obeying me in the life of the world). Verily, there is a painful torment for the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.)."

The Noble Qur'an - Al-An'aam 6:100-102
100. Yet, they join the jinns as partners in worship with Allâh, though He has created them (the jinns), and they attribute falsely without knowledge sons and daughters to Him. Be He Glorified and Exalted above (all) that they attribute to Him.
101. He is the Originator of the heavens and the earth. How can He have children when He has no wife? He created all things and He is the All-Knower of everything.
102. Such is Allâh, your Lord! Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Creator of all things. So worship Him (Alone), and He is the Wakîl (Trustee, Disposer of affairs, Guardian, etc.) over all things.
The Noble Qur'an - Al-An'aam 6:128
And on the Day when He will gather them (all) together (and say): "O you assembly of jinns! Many did you mislead of men," and their Auliyâ' (friends and helpers, etc.) amongst men will say: "Our Lord! We benefited one from the other, but now we have reached our appointed term which You did appoint for us." He will say: "The Fire be your dwellingplace, you will dwell therein forever, except as Allâh may will. Certainly your Lord is AllWise, AllKnowing."

The jinn's power is to Whisper/Deceive

The Noble Qur'an - An-Naas 114
1. Say: "I seek refuge with (Allâh) the Lord of mankind,
2. "The King of mankind,
3. "The Ilâh (God) of mankind,
4. "From the evil of the whisperer (devil who whispers evil in the hearts of men) who withdraws (from his whispering in one's heart after one remembers Allâh),
5. "Who whispers in the breasts of mankind,
6. "Of jinns and men."
The Noble Qur'an - Al-An'aam 6:128
And on the Day when He will gather them (all) together (and say): "O you assembly of jinns! Many did you mislead of men," ...
The Noble Qur'an - Al-'Anaam 6:112
And so We have appointed for every Prophet enemies - Shayâtin (devils) among mankind and jinns, inspiring one another with adorned speech as a delusion (or by way of deception)....
The Noble Qur'an - An-Nahl 16:99-100
Verily! He has no power over those who believe and put their trust only in their Lord (Allâh).
His power is only over those who obey and follow him (Satan), and those who join partners with Him (Allâh) [i.e. those who are Mushrikûn - polytheists - see Verse 6:121].
The Noble Qur'an - Al-Israa' 17:61-65
And (remember) when We said to the angels: "Prostrate unto Adam." They prostrated except Iblîs (Satan). He said: "Shall I prostrate to one whom You created from clay?"
[Iblîs (Satan)] said: "See? This one whom You have honoured above me, if You give me respite (keep me alive) to the Day of Resurrection, I will surely seize and mislead his offspring (by sending them astray) all but a few!"
(Allâh) said: "Go, and whosoever of them follows you, surely! Hell will be the recompense of you (all) an ample recompense.
"And Istafziz [literally means: befool them gradually] those whom you can among them with your voice (i.e. songs, music, and any other call for Allâh's disobedience), make assaults on them with your cavalry and your infantry, mutually share with them wealth and children (by tempting them to earn money by illegal ways usury, etc., or by committing illegal sexual intercourse, etc.), and make promises to them." But Satan promises them nothing but deceit.
"Verily! My slaves (i.e the true believers of Islâmic Monotheism), you have no authority over them. And All-Sufficient is your Lord as a Guardian."
Supplication for one afflicted by whisperings in prayer or recitation...
Hadith - Sahih Muslim 5463, Narrated Uthman ibn Abul'As, r.a.
Uthman came to Allah's Messenger May Allah's peace and blessings be on him and said: Allah's Messenger, the Satan intervenes between me and my prayer and my reciting of the Qur'an and he confounds me. Thereupon Allah's Messenger May Allah's peace and blessings be on himsaid: That is (the doing of the Satan) who is known as Khinzab, and when you perceive its effect, seek refuge with Allah from it and spit* three times to your left. I did that and Allah dispelled that from me.
* this is a dry spit in the air

Shaytaan

The shaytaan (satan) can be human or jinn...

The Noble Qur'an - Al-An'aam 6:112
And so We have appointed for every Prophet enemies - Shayâtin (devils) among mankind and jinns, inspiring one another with adorned speech as a delusion (or by way of deception). If your Lord had so willed, they would not have done it, so leave them alone with their fabrications.

Know your enemy...
The Noble Qur'an - Faatir 35:6
Surely, Shaitân (Satan) is an enemy to you, so take (treat) him as an enemy. He only invites his Hizb (followers) that they may become the dwellers of the blazing Fire.
The Noble Qur'an - Az-Zukhruf 43:62
And let not Shaitân (Satan) hinder you (from the right religion, i.e. Islâmic Monotheism), Verily, he (Satan) to you is a plain enemy.

Shaitaan tells you to fear people instead of Allah, swt...
The Noble Qur'an - Az-Zukhruf 43:62
It is only Shaitân (Satan) that suggests to you the fear of his Auliyâ' [supporters and friends (polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh and in His Messenger, Muhammad May Allah's peace and blessings be on him)], so fear them not, but fear Me, if you are (true) believers.

Muslim Jinn

The Noble Qur'an - Az-Zaariyaat 51:56
And I (Allâh) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone).

Hadith - Tirmidhi #861, Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah, Tirmidhi reported and said: This is a gharib hadith.
Allah's Messenger May Allah's peace and blessings be on him came out to his companions and recited Surah ar-Rahman (55) from the beginning to the end, but they remained silent. Thereupon he said: I recited this before the Jinn on the night of Jinn, and their response was better than that of yours. When I came to these words: `Then which of the favours of your Lord do you deny?' They said: Our Lord, there is nothing that we deny of Thy favour; to Thee is praise due.

The Noble Qur'an - Al-Jinn 72:1-14
  1. Say (O Muhammad May Allah's peace and blessings be on him): "It has been revealed to me that a group (from three to ten in number) of jinns listened (to this Qur'ân). They said: 'Verily! We have heard a wonderful Recital (this Qur'ân)!
  2. 'It guides to the Right Path, and we have believed therein, and we shall never join (in worship) anything with our Lord (Allâh).
  3. 'And exalted be the Majesty of our Lord, He has taken neither a wife, nor a son (or offspring or children).
  4. 'And that the foolish among us [i.e. Iblîs (Satan) or the polytheists amongst the jinns] used to utter against Allâh that which was wrong and not right.
  5. 'And verily, we thought that men and jinns would not utter a lie against Allâh.
  6. 'And verily, there were men among mankind who took shelter with the masculine among the jinns, but they (jinns) increased them (mankind) in sin and disbelief.
  7. 'And they thought as you thought, that Allâh will not send any Messenger (to mankind or jinns).
  8. 'And we have sought to reach the heaven; but found it filled with stern guards and flaming fires.
  9. 'And verily, we used to sit there in stations, to (steal) a hearing, but any who listens now will find a flaming fire watching him in ambush.
  10. 'And we know not whether evil is intended for those on earth, or whether their Lord intends for them a Right Path.
  11. 'There are among us some that are righteous, and some the contrary; we are groups each having a different way (religious sect, etc.).
  12. 'And we think that we cannot escape (from the punishment of) Allâh in the earth, nor can we escape (from the punishment) by flight.
  13. 'And indeed when we heard the Guidance (this Qur'ân), we believed therein (Islâmic Monotheism), and whosoever believes in his Lord shall have no fear, either of a decrease in the reward of his good deeds or an increase in punishment for his sins.
  14. 'And of us some are Muslims (who have submitted to Allâh, after listening to this Qur'ân), and of us some are Al-Qâsitûn (disbelievers those who have deviated from the Right Path)'. And whosoever has embraced Islâm (i.e. has become a Muslim by submitting to Allâh), then such have sought the Right Path."

Fortune-tellers/Soothsayers

Hadith - Al-Bukhari 7.657, Narrated 'Aisha, r.a.
Some people asked Allah's Apostle (saaws) about the foretellers. He said. -They are nothing." They said, -O Allah's Apostle! Sometimes they tell us of a thing which turns out to be true." Allah's Apostle said, "A Jinn snatches that true word and pours it into the ear of his friend (the foreteller) (as one puts something into a bottle). The foreteller then mixes with that word one hundred lies."

Allah will fill Hell with evil jinns and men all together

The Noble Qur'an - As-Saaffaat 37:158
And they have invented a kinship between Him and the jinns, but the jinns know well that they have indeed to appear (before Him) (i.e. they will be brought for accounts).
The Noble Qur'an - Huud 11:119
Except him on whom your Lord has bestowed His Mercy (the follower of truth - Islâmic Monotheism) and for that did He create them. And the Word of your Lord has been fulfilled (i.e. His Saying): "Surely, I shall fill Hell with jinns and men all together."
The Noble Qur'an - Al-An'aam 6:130, 131
O you assembly of jinns and mankind! "Did not there come to you Messengers from amongst you, reciting unto you My Verses and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say: "We bear witness against ourselves." It was the life of this world that deceived them. And they will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers.
This is because your Lord would not destroy the (populations of) towns for their wrongdoing (i.e. associating others in worship along with Allâh) while their people were unaware (so the Messengers were sent).
The Noble Qur'an - Al-A'raaf 7:179
And surely, We have created many of the jinns and mankind for Hell. They have hearts wherewith they understand not, they have eyes wherewith they see not, and they have ears wherewith they hear not (the truth). They are like cattle, nay even more astray; those! They are the heedless ones.

More About the Jinn

Hadith - Sahih Bukhari 4:533, Narrated Jabi bin 'Abdullah May Allah be pleased with him
The Prophet May Allah's peace and blessings be on him said, "Cover your utensils and tie your water skins, and close your doors and keep your children close to you at night, as the Jinns spread out at such time and snatch things away. When you go to bed, put out your lights, for the mischief-doer (i.e. the rat) may drag away the wick of the candle and burn the dwellers of the house." Ata said, "The devils." (instead of the Jinns).
Hadith - Sunan of Abu Dawood, Narrated Abu Sa'id al-Khudri
Muhammad ibn AbuYahya said that his father told that he and his companion went to AbuSa'id al-Khudri to pay a sick visit to him. He said: Then we came out from him and met a companion of ours who wanted to go to him. We went ahead and sat in the mosque. He then came back and told us that he heard AbuSa'id al-Khudri say: The Apostle of Allah May Allah's peace and blessings be on him said: Some snakes are jinn; so when anyone sees one of them in his house, he should give it a warning three times. If it return (after that), he should kill it, for it is a devil.
Hadith - Al-Muwatta 54.33
...The snake stirred on the end of the spear and the youth fell dead. No one knew which of them died first, the snake or the youth. That was mentioned to the Messenger of Allah May Allah's peace and blessings be on him said, "There are jinn in Madina who have become muslim. When you see one of them, call out to it for three days. If it appears after that, then kill it, for it is a shaytan." "'
Hadith - Muwatta, 49.21
...Shaytan does not open a locked door or untie a tied knot, or uncover a vessel.
Hadith - Tirmidhi #350
Allah's Messenger May Allah's peace and blessings be on him said: Don't cleanse yourself with dung or with bones for that is the food of your brothers from amongst the Jinn. [Transmitted by Tirmidhi, Nasa'i with this exception that he did not make mention of: The Food of your brothers from amongst the jinn.]
The Noble Qur'an - Ar-Rahmaan 55:56
Wherein both will be those (maidens) restraining their glances upon their husbands, whom no man or jinn yatmithhunna (has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them.
Hadith - Abu Dawood 1046, Narrated Ali ibn Abu Talib
Ali said on the pulpit in the mosque of Kufah: When Friday comes, the devils go to the markets with their flags, and involve people in their needs and prevent them from the Friday prayer. ...

Distancing Oneself

Fiqh 4.124
Anas reported that the Prophet May Allah's peace and blessings be on him said, "The barrier between the eyes of the Jinn and the nakedness of the Children of Adam is [created] when a Muslim discards a garment and says, 'In the name of Allah besides Whom there is no other god'." (Ibn As-Sinni)
Hadith - Ahmad, an-Nasa'i, Dawud, al-Hakim and al-Baihaqi
Qatadah related from 'Abdullah ibn Sarjas who said, "The Messenger of Allah forbade urination into a hole." Said Qatadah, "What is disliked about urinating into a hole?" Said he, "It is the residence of the jinn." [Ibn Khuzaimah and Ibn as-Sakin classified it as sahih]

Every human has a partner Jinn

Hadith - Sahih Muslim 6757, Narrated Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, similar narration 6759 by 'Aisha, r.a.
Allah's Apostle May Allah's peace and blessings be on him said: There is none amongst you with whom is not an attache from amongst the jinn (devil). They (the Companions) said: Allah's Apostle May Allah's peace and blessings be on him with you too? Thereupon he said: Yes, but Allah helps me against him and so I am safe from his hand and he does not command me but for good.

Solomon's Experience with the Jinn

Allah made all the jinn subservient to the Prophet Sulaimaan (Solomon), a gift from Allah, swt, that will never be granted to another after him.
The Noble Qur'an - Saad 38:35-39
35. He said: "My Lord! Forgive me, and bestow upon me a kingdom such as shall not belong to any other after me: Verily, You are the Bestower."
36. So, We subjected to him the wind, it blew gently to his order whithersoever he willed,
37. And also the Shayâtin (devils) from the jinns (including) every kind of builder and diver,
38. And also others bound in fetters.
39. [Saying of Allâh to Sulaimân (Solomon)]: "This is Our gift, so spend you or withhold, no account will be asked."
The Noble Qur'an - Saba' 34:12-14
12. And to Solomon (We subjected) the wind, its morning (stride from sunrise till midnoon) was a month's (journey), and its afternoon (stride from the midday decline of the sun to sunset) was a month's (journey i.e. in one day he could travel two months' journey). And We caused a fount of (molten) brass to flow for him, and there were jinns that worked in front of him, by the Leave of his Lord, and whosoever of them turned aside from Our Command, We shall cause him to taste of the torment of the blazing Fire.
13. They worked for him what he desired, (making) high rooms, images, basins as large as reservoirs, and (cooking) cauldrons fixed (in their places). "Work you, O family of Dâwud (David), with thanks!" But few of My slaves are grateful.
14. Then when We decreed death for him [Sulaimân (Solomon)], nothing informed them (jinns) of his death except a little worm of the earth, which kept (slowly) gnawing away at his stick, so when he fell down, the jinns saw clearly that if they had known the unseen, they would not have stayed in the humiliating torment.

The Noble Qur'an - An-Naml 27:17-19
17. And there were gathered before Sulaimân (Solomon) his hosts of jinns and men, and birds, and they all were set in battle order (marching forwards).
18. Till, when they came to the valley of the ants, one of the ants said: "O ants! Enter your dwellings, lest Sulaimân (Solomon) and his hosts crush you, while they perceive not."
19. So he [Sulaimân (Solomon)] smiled, amused at her speech[] and said: "My Lord! Inspire and bestow upon me the power and ability that I may be grateful for Your Favours which You have bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I may do righteous good deeds that will please You, and admit me by Your Mercy among Your righteous slaves."

The Origin of the Jinn

The jinn are NOT fallen angels.  They were created from a smokeless flame of fire. The first recorded jinn to be disobedient is Iblis.  Disbelieving, disobedient jinn and humans are known as shayateen (satans).

The Noble Qur'an - Ar-Rahmaan 55:15, 15
He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery.
And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire.
The Noble Qur'an - Al-Hijr 15:26-42
26. And indeed, We created man from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud.
27. And the jinn, We created aforetime from the smokeless flame of fire.
28. And (remember) when your Lord said to the angels: "I am going to create a man (Adam) from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud.
29. "So, when I have fashioned him completely and breathed into him (Adam) the soul which I created for him, then fall (you) down prostrating yourselves unto him."
30. So, the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together.
31. Except Iblîs (Satan), - he refused to be among the prostrators.
32. (Allâh) said: "O Iblîs (Satan)! What is your reason for not being among the prostrators?"
33. [Iblîs (Satan)] said: "I am not the one to prostrate myself to a human being, whom You created from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud."
34. (Allâh) said: "Then, get out from here, for verily, you are Rajîm (an outcast or a cursed one)." [Tafsîr At-Tabarî]
35. "And verily, the curse shall be upon you till the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)."
36. [Iblîs (Satan)] said: "O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day they (the dead) will be resurrected."
37. Allâh said: "Then, verily, you are of those reprieved,
38. "Till the Day of the time appointed."
39. [Iblîs (Satan)] said: "O my Lord! Because you misled me, I shall indeed adorn the path of error for them (mankind) on the earth, and I shall mislead them all.
